Hoedspruit Wildlife Estate, is a beautiful, conserved part of the Lowveld bushveld and the privileged few that own and live here on this exclusive estate enjoy the company of the gentler side of African fauna, impalas and kudu grazing around your house and warthogs snuffling for roots and tubers. The estate is 400ha in extent, of which less than half has been demarcated in half hectare free-hold properties. More than a quarter of these properties have been developed into beautiful residential homes and bush lodges. Not only do residents enjoy the beautiful side of Africa in this secure estate, but supportive infrastructure and utilities are of high quality, from tar roads to waterborne sewage and our own water treatment plant, including modern, well maintained water and electrical reticulation.
Our beautiful wildlife estate is situated on the edge of the town of Hoedspruit, a small, quaint town with the most awesome view of the Drakensberg mountain escarpment. Whilst Hoedspruit is a small, quiet, secure town, it has all the amenities necessary for a comfortable life in the bush, from the Spar and Pick'n'Pay, to great restaurants, nothing in town is more that 10 min away from you here in the estate. Also, it is here that the incredible Southern Cross Schools were founded, this nationally accredited school is based in a game reserve and has lured many families from their hectic urban lifestyles to our more tranquil, and beautiful Hoedspruit.
A brand NEW Year has started and we would like to wish you all a prosperous 2016. Due to the ongoing drought, water restrictions are unfortunately still in place. Please continue to use water sparingly in order for us to maintain our supply to the Estate. It appears that everyone is doing their part as we have managed to maintain very good water levels in our reservoirs. This even with the extreme heat that has been experienced in recent times. A big thank you to you all.
Please adhere to the speed limit! This rule is to keep our children and animals safe.
We have recently finalised our Environmental Management Plan which we are sure might be of interest to many of you. The document can be found in the Rules and Guides section of our website.
